Spread the Word

Collection: Sacred Art

Sacred Art captivates because its subject matter encaptures a spiritual message. Means, God, Jesus the Christ, the Holy Spirit, is the subject of contemplation and visitation within the very work.

Similarly, the books of the Bible and the Torah are depicting events and stories which took place in Ancient Israel, which were recorded and written down by scribes of the times. The Israelite are telling us and reminding us that God's Sacred presence is in the very event, and this is what makes Sacred art and the Bible story Sacred. It is a fact that Ancient Israel is the birthplace of the LORD Christ, where He was crucified, and where God's kingdom will return and be reestablished.

It is written that God walked with humankind.

"You worship what you do not know: we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews." John 4:22

Have we ever wondered how last year's best-seller book or news is no longer remembered,  Yet the books of the Bible are a few of the only pieces of literature from ancient times that are recited daily by billions of people around the globe, to this very day?

Why? Because the Holy Spirit within the pages keeps the Word alive by Its presence and Essence. So in actuality, the Bible is a  book, that is alive with
God very Spirit in it, which is full of life, able to cut through bone and marrow and to get to the heart of matters to those who believe.

Therefore these narratives are and have been an incredible source of hope and inspiration in the creation of Sacred Art throughout the art world and for the history of mankind. Think of Lionardo Da Vinci's Last supper, the theme being Christ shares a last meal with the disciples, or the idea of Michelangelo's David which represents King David of Psalms. Countless pieces of art depict an idea from the Torah or Bible because these are stories of phenomenal events.

The transcendent is invisible yet innate, a very present force to humans. This dichotomy, this struggle between the flesh of humanity and the void of the Omnipotent is a mystery, yet a reality. " For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another so that you do not do the things that you wish."

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood, by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse."       Romans 1:20

Welcome to GAVAUT GALLERY where I will use man-made art that struggles to acknowledge and glorify the Sacred.Where the spiritual man within him thinks and contemplates the Holy essence in his or her artwork as an expression of reverence, awe, and struggle.
